Population 4,900, Budget approximately $7M, 1 sq/mile. Penns Grove is seeking candidates for the position of Police Director. The successful candidate will serve as the Executive administrative for the Borough’s Police Department consisting of an authorized strength of 16 sworn officers and 4 SLEOs. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years executive level experience in a police department. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major/ concentration in Police Science, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Fire Science, Emergency Management, Public Administration or closely related fields is preferred. Advanced specialized education/ certification preferred. Reports to the Mayor or Business Administrator. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience in a range of $50,000 to $60,000 (for 4 days p/wk).
