Notice is hereby given that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading at a meeting of the Penns Grove Borough Council, held on the 3rd day of June 2026.  This Ordinance was considered for final passage and adopted after a public hearing was held at a meeting of the Penns Grove Borough Council on the 16th day of June 2026.

An Ordinance of the Borough of Penns Grove, County of Salem, State of New Jersey, Prohibiting the Use of Orbi-Type Gel Ball Guns and Similar Devices in Public Places within the Borough; Providing for Definitions, Exemptions, Enforcement, and Penalties for Violations Thereof

In accordance with the provisions of P.L.1995 c. 259, the Municipal Clerk has prepared a statement setting forth the purpose of the Ordinance.  A copy of this Ordinance in its’ entirety may be obtained without cost, by any member of the general public, from the Municipal Clerk, 1 State Street, Penns Grove, New Jersey.

Statement of Purpose

The purpose of this Ordinance is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare, while preserving the ability of individuals to use such devices in appropriate, controlled, and supervised settings.
