The Housing Office handles a variety of situations such as Residential Certificates of Occupancy and Land Use Questions.

Fees

• Certificate of Occupancy - $50.00
• Initial Inspection and Re-inspection - $50.00
• Zoning Permit Application - $10.00

Items to be inspected include: sidewalks, driveways, fences, trees, sanitation, grading and drainage, natural growth, exhaust vents, discharge of sump pumps, accessory structures and ground surface hazards. The cost of inspection is $50, due prior to inspection. Here are common documents that are helpful. Please refer to these documents when preparing for a zoning approval application. When do you need zoning approval? (This is not a complete list):

• Installing a fence
• Installing a pool
• Installing solar panels
• Opening a new business that is different than the type of business previously there
• Opening a new business after building was vacant for one year/365 days or more
