Notice is hereby given that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading at a meeting of the Penns Grove Borough Council, held on the 16th day of June 2026. This Ordinance will be considered for final passage and adoption after a public hearing is held at a meeting of the Penns Grove Borough Council on the 7th day of July 2026.

An Ordinance of the Borough of Penns Grove Requiring a Certificate of Property Compliance Upon the Sale, Transfer, Rental, Lease, or Occupancy of Certain Residential Property within the Borough of Penns Grove
In accordance with the provisions of P.L.1995 c. 259, the Municipal Clerk has prepared a statement setting forth the purpose of the Ordinance. A copy of this Ordinance in its’ entirety may be obtained without cost, by any member of the general public, from the Municipal Clerk, 1 State Street, Penns Grove, New Jersey.
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of this Ordinance is to require a Certificate of Property Compliance upon the sale, transfer, rental, lease or occupancy of certain residential property with the Borough of Penns Grove.
